WHICH CURRICULUM DO YOU OFFER?
WB School is an accredited Cambridge Associate School offering Cambridge International Curriculum. Our Students write the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Examination in year 6 and Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint Examination at the Lower Secondary. Students are expected to sit the Cambridge International IGCSE examinations and A-level Examination at the upper levels.
WHAT TIME DOES YOUR DAY BEGIN AND END?
School begins at 8:00am to 2:30pm for Pre-School, 8:00am to 3:00pm for Primary and Middle School and 8:00am to 3:20pm for High School.
HOW MANY BREAKS DO STUDENTS HAVE IN A DAY?
Each Student experiences two breaks.
Snack Break: 10:00-10:20am
Lunch Break:12:00pm-1:00pm
DO YOU OFFER LUNCH SERVICES?
The School has a professional chef who makes nice and special delicacies for Students and the entire Staff. About 8o% of Students subscribe to this service.
WHAT ARE YOUR CLASS SIZES?
Class Sizes are restricted to no more than 20 in a Class. In the Pre-School and Primary Section, each Class has a dedicated, qualified Teacher and full time Teaching Assistant. At the High School, form Tutors are assigned to each Class.
DO YOU HAVE A BUS?
Currently, we have a mini- bus, given to us by the AngloGold Ashanti Malaria Control (AGAmal) unit which takes our Students for Swimming and other outing events.
DO YOU HAVE CO-CURRICULAR PROGRAMMES?
Williams and Brew School has co-curricular programmes which means that non-academic activities are acknowledged as being just as important as classroom learning. In the Primary School there are different Clubs available for Students in Year 2 to Year 6. Clubs include Drama Club, Book Club, Debate Club, Choir, Art Club, Reading And Writing Club… In the High School there is also a diverse range of Clubs on offer including the Environmental, Sports, Music and many more. Every child is expected to choose at least one Club per Trimester.
DO YOUR STUDENTS WEAR UNIFORMS?
Yes
Our colours are Royal blue and Sea blue.
WHAT ARE THE PROCESSES OF REGISTRATION OR ADMISSION?
Please visit the School’s office, to pick up an information pack, complete with application form and literature on the school. We will be happy to advise you on availability and any other queries you may have. All prospective Parents and Visitors are welcome to tour the School. Please enquire about tours when picking up your Registration Form. Alternatively, you can fill the Application Form online at the Admissions section of this website. The Admissions Office will confirm receipt of the application and inform you if a space becomes available.
HOW DO I CONFIRM ADMISSION/PLACEMENT OF MY CHILD?
When you register your child and have paid the appropriate registration fee, The Admissions Office will advise if you will be able to gain a place or inform you if your child has been placed on a waiting list for just one Academic Year. A letter or email will be sent to you at a later date to confirm the status of your child’s progress in the admission process.
CAN I ENROL AT YOUR SCHOOL EVENTHOUGH ENGLISH MAY NOT BE MY FIRST LANGUAGE?
In an International School such as our own, we acknowledge the fact that Students come from very different backgrounds and many may not have English as their first language. Our trained and dedicated Teachers are available to assess the varied needs of such Students, in order to support Students who speak English as their second language.
HOW ARE ASSESSMENTS ORGANISED?
We will be able to best support our Students after Assessment. Every Student in the School is assessed; this enables us a School to identify individual’s capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, interests and preferences, to ensure great results and achievements.
WILL YOU ACCEPT MY CHILD WITH DISABILITY?
Despite ones background, race, creeds, complexion and abilities, WB School welcomes all calibre of Students. There are quite a number of Students, currently, with impairments, learning difficulties and disabilities who are gradually exceling. In order to accommodate your child’s needs effectively, an Assessment will be undertaken, just like with all children.
